In the event of huge delays in the required train connections, Deutsche Bahn pays compensation. The following principles apply:

In the event of a 60-minute delay at the destination station, 25% of the ticket price will be refunded. In the event of a delay of 120 minutes at the destination station, 50% of the ticket price will be refunded. For a return trip on a single ticket, 25% or 50% of half of the ticket price will be refunded.

Compensation will only be paid if the sum exceeds 4 euros. For a refund, you must submit the completed passenger rights form, confirmation of the delay by train staff and the original ticket to a travel center.
